Hi All
I have been quite stressed lately with a few things and noticing my sugars rising overnight. In your experience is ths normal? I have upped my basal and sugars are well controlled during the day. Could stress raise my sugars like this?
Hey there. I inject my full basal amount at night. It has a 24hr+ profileHi,
Do you inject your basal in the morning? If so? Just wondering if it's profile is just "tailing off"?
But stress can get your "blood up". That whole fight or flight thing with the ol "liver dump."
Thank u so much. You are spot on with the over eating too!! Its all just so much fun isnt it? :-(Oh yeah! There were times when stress DOUBLED my reading. Especially after a big meal when one should be aiding his/her stomach to digest instead of stressing and creating more and more adrenaline. I couldn't figure out why I had a 7.0 from the same meal that gave me 13.0 the other day same time, same ui, same everything. Once I realized the problem it all made sense.... thought I was honeymooning or something. And it always happened during a stressful time. When you stress you tend to eat more as well. Double whammy. Try to have a positive outlook and do things that make you feel happy. Do them each day! I know it's easier said than done. Don't let stress bring you down. Don't let the boss take advantage of you. Don't let your spouse, gf/bf treat you like **** for no reason. This disease is about survival of the fittest. Be who you have to be! You'll see those levels go down once you take action. Trust me. Been there done that. Good luck!
Oh fab!!! Will def give this a try. Thank youMy husband introduced me to apple cider vinegar as my bg skyrockets overnight and I often have high morning readings - doesn't matter how much basal I have for some reason.
But anyway, a tbsp of apple cider vinegar mixed with water before bed and my morning readings are within range without fail! Don't know how it works but I'm glad it does!
