How many eggs are you allowed a week I like boiled best are walnuts OK to have

Walnuts should be ok in moderation but you’d need to test and see how you react. A lot of people use macadamia nuts.

Eggs are incredibly nutritious and shouldn’t cause any problems. Some people who moderate their protein intake will be careful not to eat twenty eggs a day, but you’d really have to be quite excessive with them to worry about any deleterious effects.

You can eat as many eggs as you like.
For some people nuts make it more difficult to loose weight. For me, once I start eating nuts I can’t stop so I don’t even start.
For BG you’ll need to test to see how they affect you.

Really, eggs are fabulous. If they were the only food left on the planet, you could probably live on them for the rest of your days.

I think that's true for any food.

Debatable. Perhaps I should have said thrive. I’m not aware of many other foods that are packed as densely with so much nutrition. Both macros and micros.

No limitation on eggs for me, I consider them a superfood. I am fine with walnuts in small quantities but as has been mentioned it would be wise to test with them. Almonds are a safer bet.

As to protein, as we age, especially after turning 50, our ability to metabolise protein diminishes so we do need a little more to compensate.

Not everyone can eat unlimited eggs because of possible digestive upset.
But if you tolerate them, then eat as many as you like.
They are nutritious, inexpensive, and the myth that they were bad for cholesterol was debunked years ago.
They have a low impact on blood glucose, although insulin users sometimes report needing to inject for eggs.

I notice you have a lots of questions about what you can, and cannot eat. Have you see the book 'Carbs and Cals'? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Carbs-Cals-Carb-Calorie-Counter/dp/1908261153/ref=dp_ob_title_bk it is also available on kindle, I think?

Its a good starting point for counting your carbs. Also, I think @daisy1 has posted her information on one of your threads, and https://www.dietdoctor.com/ s another good site.

First though, i think finding out about your meds is important, from your nurse, to avoid hypo's.

Will have a look at them thanks for your advise

Some people avoid bacon for religious reasons, others avoid bacon due to veganism or vegetarianism. Fortunately, I can eat all the bacon I want : )

I myself go through four dozen eggs a fortnight. a three egg cheese and mushroom omelette every day with bacon and tomatoes, the remainder get hard boiled for salads.

I have no digestive problems with eating eggs either.

Thats' what I said.. why on earth not...

On this week's episode of HIGNFY there was a vegan comedian who said she was thrown out of the Vegan Society for not being militant enough. Now calls herself a Venagade! Funniest thing I've heard in ages and she started off by saying 'It's just what you have for your tea' whilst banging her head on the desk.
