Hi I would just like to know with me to starting running I would like to know what the best electrolyte drink to have for a diabetic

I guess we are all different but I don't find I need any electrolyte drink when I run (or do any other type of exercise).
To be honest, unless you are planning to do some pretty major endurance exercise, electrolyte drinks are more of a marketing hype.
But any drinks you take during exercise, you need to consider the carb (usually sugar) content.

During running you need to be very aware of your BG. It is likely to drop (although this is not true for everyone). If you have type 1 (you do not mention which type of diabetes you have) or you are treated with insulin, you may be at risk of hypos.
As we are all different, the way we avoid/manage this varies from person to person.
In the past, I chose to drink very weak squash when exercising so I can dilute it to my needs.

Electrolyte just means salt/minerals but manufacturers can add extra stuff (sugar, sweetners etc) to charge more.

Water is good :-) if you want extra mineral water :-)

As mentioned above, test and keep an eye on how exercise affects your BG levels

I just buy electrolyte tabs and put one in my drink before I go usually! I quite like the brand o.r.s. I find their flavours nice and not sickly or chemical tasting x
