hi there
just a little bit of advice really, dont know where to start and feel a lil daft to be honest.
ive been dating the man of my dreams for a while now (4 months) he id type 1, as capel tunnel (forgive my spelling) and high bp....
the problem is when we are getting close...he backs away, and i dont know how to approach the subject, obviously with looking at sites like this it as helped me understand his illness and "other" problem....
i just dont know how to talk to him about it, i understand the embarassment on his part but im shy too and just dont know what to do or say, its getting to the point now where i think we are avoiding being in any situation were things would normally naturally progress....oh dear i hope this is making sence!!
please help....oh by the way, hes 35 and as been diabetic for 20 years

I can understand your problem Lilly and I'm sure Sue's PM will be helpful.
What I as an "old granny" would say is. Is this relationship fairly new? If so perhaps he's not yet sufficiently confident in your company. I would say Work on getting closer in every other sense, but don't crowd him. Talk about what he wants to talk about.( You May have to learn about football)
If it is The Problem, Many men are very shy about it. They need to feel very secure before it's mentioned. Be an "old fashioed" girl for a bit. If the relationship develops further, you will reach the point where it has to be discussed. After all it may be something different entirely. Some guys are scared of "forward" girls.
