few ref to T2 with weight gain

I actually watched this last night!

That poor man, 6st of excess skin! quite a feat that he was still able to walk around!

Did anyone watch the embarrassing body clinic live? there was a 25yo T1 girl who had lypodystrophy, which looked pretty bad

I watched it too! Poor Glenn - his GP should be so embarrassed

And I think I've got problems! - it rather put things into perspective, and I think I might watch the rest, though normally I don't - too much like voyeurism.

I still don't want a gastric band - for all I limit my food, I couldn't bear to be reduced to little pots in the freezer. Have I got the wrong attitude?

As for too much skin after weight loss - I knew there was a reason that I shouldn't lose too much  Strangely enough, I almost thought she looked better before the ops - certainly younger. I wish they'd told us what diet she had followed.

About the woman with the excess skin, she said she just switched to healthy food, but she lost a heck of alot of weight over 2 years, so i have an inkling her diet may have been quite a radical one, probably why they sent her for that bone scan, although it did turn out normal so maybe her diet really was just generally healthy! who knows eh!

I did pick up a comment, in relation to the bone scan, about a 'radical' diet - or it may have been 'radical' weight loss. I seem to remember she lost it quite quickly, which is possibly the reason her skin didn't have time to shrink.

I didn't get body-wrinkles when I lost my 5.5 stone, and I was 55 then - a bit older than she was. Maybe all the wolfhound-walking helped too?

Yeah i think it probably was quite radical for that amount in a short space of time, which i'm thinking you right in saying the skin didnt have time to shrink with her body.

Her arms looked pretty good after the sugery though!
