Hello all,
I went to my docs surgery diabetics clinic yesterday and after he had done the various investigations that this visit entailed I asked him about the endo barrier. I was somewhat dismayed when he turned to me and said he had not heard anything about it. The reason for my dismay is that he is supposed to specialise in this field, and there seems to be something wrong when a patient goes to the doctor and has to tell him about new treatments and steps forward in treatment. To say he was negative was an understatement. He aid he would put it in his things to do list(read up on it). He did however give me the address to write to of my PCT to attempt to get the procedure funded(after telling me I had no chance). I am basically asking if any of you out there have any knowledge of who I have to contact to find out more about how one goes about having the endo barries fitted. Which hospitals etc. I would be greatful if any of you could help.
