Phoned my energy supplier yesterday as my smart meter isn't being smart. Mentioned I might have used more as I've been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. They've put me on a list to receive priority if my supply is interrupted. Full details here.

I believe anyone who needs to store their meds in a fridge can be put on the priority list for reconnection after a power cut, and various other reasons as well
