energy

Try eating little but often.Eat plenty veg.some fruit(watch out for high sugar fruits though) chicken, fish etc .I like nuts and dried fruit as a snack instead of cakes/biscuits etc.Have you considered doing some exercises. You are low in energy so do some chair exercises to start with.Fill a couple of empty milk containers with water and lift them up and down a few times, swing them in and out ,doing exercises can actually increase your energy levels, just don't overdo it to start with. The rule of thunb is....if it hurts stop doing it!!How are your blood sugar levels? If they are high then this will cause you to be lethargic as well.Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

Tell us more - does your energy run out when you're half way round the marathon, or half way to the shops?

What are your BG levels? What medication?

I'm 69, type 2, HbA1c 6.6, & I play tennis at a club standard, I regularly play 3 sets - 2 hours or more.

I did detect a problem - hand/eye co-ordination - when I was controlling by diet alone, & BG was getting more difficult to control. I'm taking Metformin & that problem has gone.

I do get tired, but I don't think that is due to lack of energy.

average first in themorning
7.4
last night it was 6.5 before bedtime
taking 2 met
one ramiprill
doc said ramiprill is for low bp
she also said its protects my eyesight
do not understand that statement
thanks for onfo

Under what activities do you run out of energy?

Lack of energy can also be caused by depression.Have you been ' down' lately.A lot of diabetics get low moods.

thanks for info
the doc also said
ramiprill protects the eyesight
i do not get depressed
if i think i am getting a bit fed up
i go visit the shops play a video
i am a sort of happy go lucky person
or just potter about the garden
so thanks once again for info
