[QUOTE="Ojustaboo, post: 2146181, member: 460243"] I initially went to my GP about this, and the Advanced Nurse practitioner took one look at my notes and my blood history and said "That's because you're a diabetic" and couldn't work out why no one in the previous 5 years had flagged that. Right there and then he started the Diabetic process, and also prescribed me 50mg viagra. Sorry for going into too much detail, but I don't know how else to explain things About half of the time I could manage sex, but it often went floppy inside, the other half during foreplay it would go hardish, but by the time we tried penetration it would be floppy. I find Viagra helps a little, but not like the stories you read would lead you to believe. I've tried the 100mg dose and the 50 mg dose, I've even tried cutting the 50mg in half. Whichever dose I try has the same effect, I still suffer from the symptoms described above, sometimes having to give up trying as it wont go in (even with lube all over it, just goes too soft), and I still suffer from it going soft once in. The reality for me is that instead of it going soft about 30 seconds after penetration, it's now going soft about 1 min after penetration. In other words both me and my wife do notice a difference, but it's a very small difference, nothing like sex was a few years ago. I've tried taking it on an almost empty stomach, 30 mins, 1 hr, 1.5 hrs, 2hrs before sex, no difference at all. The odd thing is, for a few years now I haven't woken up with morning glory, but whenever I use Viagra, whatever the dose, no matter how badly functioning I am during sex, I wake up with a rockish hard erection, 100 times harder than during sex, but by that time wifes been up for 2 hrs, dogs are going mad, and I'm bursting for a wee. I only ever do this the morning after taking it, very weird. Whether I take 25g or 100g, the side effects are awful for me, slight blurred vision and the most awful headache for hours the following day. I went back to the doctors and they didn't offer me any alternative, basically said if that wasn't working, in their words "try something like a Penis pump or **** ring" So for now we are using the viagra a couple of times a week, and I'm putting up with the side effects.
