When eating a restricted carb diet, what ways do you adjust for exercise? Do you take snack on carbohydrate things to fend off hypos? Or reduce insulin even more than ususal?

Thanks!

While I've still got MDA up I'll link to it again

he was an endurance athlete so has personal experience whereof he writes.

I get most bang per buck from a high protein moderate fat low carb breakfast. I used to need to get my BG up around 6 before doing anything strenuous to avoid either lows or liver dump highs, but over time this has become less common, I snack a lot less than I previously needed to but usually include a small quantity of carbs and a mix of fat and protein, like an oatcake with some nut butter or cheese, or half an avocado and some nuts: carbing up causes a BG spike followed by an insulin spike followed by carb craving which running on protein and fat doesn't.

Just started running, have been low carbing for a while now, not doing anything different, still having a low carb breakfast. I test before I run and take glucose in case I need it, but I never do.

So have you reduced your insulin a bit to cancel out the extra energy burnt while running? If so- thats kind of the way I want to head myself...
