Hi, I am not sure, they don't tell me what bloods they're taking!Have you had your vit B12 levels checked?
I ask because when I was on 2 metformin a day I was fine but when I went up to 4 I became deficient in b12 and had extreme fatigue. My doctor had tested my levels but didn't tell me the results. I always ask for them now.Have you had your vit B12 levels checked?
Hi, I do finger pricks, they can vary from four to sometimes 8. I test before meals and only test after if I feel dizzy, weak, jelly etc!You say your review went ok but what were your numbers? Your HbA1c & do you test with finger prick after meals etc? If you BG is running high then that could be the problem, I could sleep for England when my BG start to hit 9s & higher
The exhaustion could be because of my sugars or bad diet or something else. My diet isn't the greatest. I've gone downhill in the last six weeks. I found out that the sugar free foods I do eat still have a sweetener in there which spikes my sugars, so i am being careful but also giving up on checking what's in things (I am not always going to think like that)Are your blood glucose levels okay? 25 is very young for type 2 diabetes; that age is more typical for type 1 or LADA. Although young people can develop type 2 diabetes, it usually doesn't start that early (it typically begins after age 50). What is your C-peptide level? People often feel tired due to high blood sugar levels.
Testing at first bite then 2 hours after first bite will give you far more information than you are getting from your random testing.Hi, I do finger pricks, they can vary from four to sometimes 8. I test before meals and only test after if I feel dizzy, weak, jelly etc!
In reality, high blood glucose isn't always caused by food; very often, it stems from glycogen produced by the liver. If your issue isn't with insulin sensitivity but with insulin production— I repeat, I could be wrong, but insulin resistance is extremely rare at such a young age—then diet and exercise won't make much of a difference. I would recommend checking your C-peptide levels to see if the cells in your pancreas are dying off.The exhaustion could be because of my sugars or bad diet or something else. Hi,Hi. So i am twenty five, type two! I'm on four metformin a day, my recent review went ok, my cholesterol was a tiny tiny bit high, but other than that, all good. However I'm constantly exhausted and have no energy, i do between eight thousand to fifteen thousand steps a day, my diet isn't the best but trying to sort it! My iron is ok and yet I'm always tired! I keep napping once or twice a day between ten minutes to half hour, which is really out of character for me! Is this just something that happens to a diabetic? I mentioned this last time at my diabetic review but my nurse never commented on it!
So you are testing your blood glucose. What numbers do you usually see and how high do you spike?I found out that the sugar free foods I do eat still have a sweetener in there which spikes my sugars
I plan to see a doctor on TuesdayThyroid and Vitamin D are blood tests I'd be asking for, if the surgery hasn't already tested them. I'd suggest asking for a drs appointment to discuss your tiredness, especially if it's not normal for you, as it can be caused by many things, not just diabetes.
Hi, so, my sister recently had a baby and she lives on top floor apartment, which only has stairs, so i take a ten to twenty minute walk to hers to help her down the stairs, we go back to mine then i walk her back later on, then throughout the day, I might go shopping or have to go to the local store, which is two minutes from mine (I can go between one and four times), or to another local store which is ten to twenty minutes from mine so i walk there and back. When i go shopping, depending on how much I have, I either walk back or grab a taxi! Then when I'm in the house i either do little things around the house!Hi,
How are you getting your steps in. Work or pleasure?
