Since being diagnosed in August with T2 I have suffered from the most horrendous tiredness and feel like a rag doll most of the time. I have to get up three times or more a night to go to the loo which obviously constantly breaks my sleep and is a factor but it it unlike any other tiredness I have suffered and is confining me to the house more and more. On top of this I seem to have constant hot "flushes and sweats" throughout the day yet I am 72 and well past the menopause! Does Diabetes affect people in this way? Is it normal? Not knowing why I feel so bad is not helping the situation so would like to hear if anyone else has been afflicted with these symptoms and, if so, how they coped or what you can do to improve life.

Sounds like you are talking about me! I haven't found anything that can help though but at least you know you're not alone. Hopefully someone can come up with some suggestions.

Hi,

What are your blood glucose level's like?

Sounds to me as your symptoms are from continous high BG's.. Tiredness, needing to pee in the night..

But then again if your BG's are at a good level then these are quite common syptoms with many ailments.

If your BG's are good then go see your GP, they may run a few routine tests see if they can get to the bottom of things.
