Extremely worried and depressed.

Probably. Diabetes was alway at back of y mind since dad was diagnosed with it. Grandmother had it too. I believe it's partly hereditary. So it was always at back of my mind to avoid it at any cost.
Just didn't think it would happen so soon

I think you should download the mySugr app. It's free.

You can record lots of details but most importantly you can record your blood glucose levels and record the food you eat. After a few days of entering data it will give you an estimated HbA1c. Lots of us use it.

It may be that you are worrying over nothing. Stress can raise your levels.

The most beautiful country. Not the easiest country to do low carb. Can you get cauliflower in India? A lot of us use it in place of rice.
Thanks. It is beautiful.
Low carb is tough when I am with family, parents don't cook animal products. But since I stay away from them I can do low carb mostly. It is just more time consuming.
Yes, all veggies along with cauliflower is available. But unfortunately being a bachelor I don't have food processor to make cauliflower rice. I prepare cauliflower sabzi out of it.

Another update.
The blood sugar has dropped to 87 after 6 hours. can this be considered as fasting blood glucose?

You can make cauliflower rice by grating it with a cheese grater. There is lots of information on the internet.

Anything you fancy eating Google it, just put the word keto in front of it. It may give you some ideas.

That would be great. I will definitely look into it. It will solve a very big problem of me eating only chicken fry for 3 days in a week.

You should eat the whole egg, not just the white - eggs are a good food for diabetics.
One of my favourite dishes is cauliflower, a whole small one or half a larger one, steamed, then placed in a dish with a layer of cream cheese, then grated cheese - I like red leicester cheese. Kept warm for a few minutes the heat from the cauliflower melts the cheese - some people like to sprinkle the cauliflower with herbs or spices before adding the cheese.

Can you get cheese such as cheddar, rather than paneer?
I tried cheddar, but it was very different for my taste buds. Is cheddar better then paneer for glycemic index?
I tried some vintage cheddar improted from UK.

I have never come across paneer, but vintage cheddar is far too strong a taste for me.
Most cheese is low carb - glycemic index is not all that significant for me, carbs are carbs as far as my gut is concerned.

We use the term fasting to describe our first reading as soon as we get out of bed.

The most important readings are the one we take immediately before we eat and the next one, 2 hours after the first bite. I also did a reading before I went to bed

The before and after readings at meal times are the most important. In my measurements using mmoml I want a rise of no more than 2. I can't look up your measurement whilst I am on my phone.

With your family history you are right to b diabetes aware but I think you need to educate yourself, you are stressing about it toouch and stress raised blood glucose.

I was thinking of cauliflower cheese. I don't know how paneer would turn out.

Hey just remember that wheat is as bad as is pure sugar . Try to avoid those two and moderate your fruit intake . Meat and cheese fish avacados are very fine and green leafy vegs tomatoes and olives are all very fine to eat a lot of . But it is important to say you May not self diagnose go to your GP doctor instead

Update.
After 4 hours my BS is 101. It is still not dropping below 100.

101mg/dl is exactly the same as 100mg/dl. There is no significant difference between the two. They both convert to 5.6mmol/l which is perfectly normal. You really must stop stressing about this. Your levels are fine.

Thanks. I'll try not stress much. I get anxious on any health issue. Sorry for the rant.
But.do feel that I have a major insulin resistence problem. My morning glucose was 96 and bed time glucose was 87. I am reading that this is because liver release glucose in blood but it is not getting cleared.
