As a person on a low income and very scared of surgery, I was wondering whether anybody has used these Ethos cataract drops and do they work...ive found a 2 websites which look safe and easy to buy from ethosheaven and ethos-natural -health.com one uk based and the other in american dollars.

Any feedback would be appreciated as I don't want to waste the little money I do have.

hi Hawkins :)

May I just ask if you're in the UK? I had a cataract op 5 weeks ago and I have to say it was MUCH less traumatic than a trip to the dentist. It really was totally painless and not even very slightly scary. I doubt very much that any eye drops will cure a cataract.

Hi Hawkins - I had my first cataract op in 2010 (the right eye) and my second in January this year. Like tree-peony I've never heard of drops that will cure cataracts. In fact, if they could be cured simply by the use of eye drops there would be no need for cataract surgery at all. I had both my ops in Luxembourg and it was the simplest procedure imaginable. I shouldn't think the process varies too much Between Luxembourg and Britain. I was given a tranquilizer of some kind before I was wheeled to the OR, and ended up chatting and joking with the surgical staff while I was being prepped. The only thing of the slightest discomfort (and I wouldn't describe it any more strongly than that) was the anaesthetic administered near the eye, but that was only momentary. After it had taken effect I couldn't see anything from that eye and I couldn't feel anything either. I was aware that the surgeon and his assistants were working in the area of my eye but that was it. After about 20 minutes the cloth covering my head was removed and the surgeon applied a dressing to the eye, asking me if I was okay at the same time. I told him I was and they wheeled me to the recovery room where I snoozed for an hour or so before I was wheeled back to my room where my wife was waiting for me. Around midday my diabetic lunch was brought to me (a very nice chicken dish) and I read my Kindle in a one-eyed manner for about an hour before the surgeon turned up, examined me and told me I could go home. I had an appointment the next day with my ophthalmologist where he removed the dressing, examined my eye, took various measurements and gave me perception tests. He gave me some eye drops to apply several times a day and another appointment a few days later. After a couple more examinations I was discharged and given a regular appointment six months hence.
So don't hold back, there's nothing at all scary about the procedure and you will be amazed at the immediate improvement in your vision and your colour perception.
