The screening service has strict standards for both the quality and the position of images. The photographer may say that the images are 'fine' because they are positioned correctly and there are no very obviously unassessable areas. However, it's only when the images are examined later in detail, on large screens, that someone can really judge whether the quality is good enough. There are various reasons for inadequate images including cataract, floaters and poor dilation.
It's a nuisance when you have to be re-screened but it's nothing to worry about..
