I have my eyes tested and get new glasses but it doesn’t improve my eye site I am type 1 for 40 years running about 7 bad memory forget to take insulin so a bit high back to my eyes . Someone said the best way to test a diabetic is to test three different times and take average can this be true ? Thanks Colin

Some suggestions when to test are offered: here http://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes_care/how-often-should-i-blood-test.html. Personally I wouldn't trust averages because you would want to iron out peaks and troughs. Before and after meals would be better than random times during the day.

As for eyes, if there's no improvement, ask for an eye test with the new glasses. The diabetic eyes test offered by the NHS in the UK are essential.
