Hi all, I wear contact lenses and I thought I'd only have problems with my shortsightedness. How wrong. Firstly I had to have injections 4 times in my left eye due to Retinopathy ( seeing sqashed images, wobbly lines etc) then lasers, then my right eye had a muscle paralysis and couldn't look to the right which resulted in double vision. That got better then I had a bleed in the jelly part in the back of the eye which gave me 'floaters' ( like black cotton in constant view). Had more lasers to stop it happening again but just as it was starting to clear (about 3 months) it leaked again, so currently writing this through one clear eye and one with the 'cotton' and seems like blurry jelly.
Does anyone know how to clear these floaters quicker than the last 3 months I endured last time? Thanks

I can empathise. I have generic (born with) problems in one eye. Nothing to do with diabetes or blood sugars.
I suggest you contact your ophthalmologist to discuss this latest development. There may be more they can do, they may even say its just a case of being patient. Eyes are very slow to heal or change. 3 months is not long in eye terms, but do report you're having problems

I second @MrsA2 suggestion to contact the hospital, as they may want to see you again. I've had floaters a couple of times and had them checked out, but they took a while to clear. I found them annoying and kept blinking (subconsciously to try to clear them).

I have the bleed in the jelly part of one eye too. The floaters took about 3 months to go but I still get the feeling of a watery eye, but it's on the inside not like when you cry. I have an appointment with ophthalmology later this month. Dreading it.
