Eyesight changes

I have drastically reduced my blood sugars in the last 2 weeks, I also have extremely poor vision anyway (around -10.5 in both eyes).

I seem to be able to see fine anything further than a foot away from my face, but anything closer is blurry and often double (I used to suffer double vision as a child) - is this my eyes reverting to pre-diabetes levels and I need a new prescription, or is this something temporary that I should work through?

I wouldn't want to waste money on new glasses if it's temporary, but if it's permanent I need new glasses!

If you drastically reduce blood sugar levels quickly you can get the eye problems that you may have got on diagnosis, it should calm down

Calm down as in stabilise how it is now, or calm down and go back to what I previously needed?

Hope so, glasses are not a cheap thing with my eyesight, and I am only eligible for a complex lens voucher worth £14.20 or something silly!

hi @trinity0097
following on from high BG levels a sharp reduction often causes a temporary blurring of vision-- this usually clears up in a few weeks :)
keep us posted !

my sunglasses are for sunny weather -- not bad vision LOL

Mine got really blurry when my levels started coming down 3-4 weeks ago. It started to clear after a couple of weeks and is almost back to normal now :) Everyone told me it was normal and probably temporary, but it's natural to worry ;)
