Eyesight query

Hello

I have just been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes which I have been prescribed metformin for.

I seem to be having a problm with my eyesight - I seem to have gone a bit farsighted. Is this a common reaction? Should I go and get some glasses or is this something that will correct itself once I get my blood sugar levels down?

This is often a symptom when first diagnosed, once blood glucose starts to stabilise after a week or two, things should start to improve. Should they get worse, or you are quite concerned, do get them checked out for peace of mind.

exactly as nigel says...
when our bloods are high it can affect vision and is usually temporary and goes back to normal when bloods are under control
