Ezetimibe: experiences

I've just had my surgery on the line. High Cholestrol, as I am sensitive to the main statins they suggested I try Ezetimibe.

Looking at the side effects, constipation gets a mention, and as I already suffer quite badly from this I am not keen.... there are others that don't thrill me with joy.

It's normally used along side the main statins.. and does not seem to get a good Wikipedia crit.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Many thanks

Yes I use it. My medical records state that I am strongly allergic to statins, and when I was in hospital earlier this year I had to wear a different coloured ID tag to alert anyone who might feel inclined to put one into my drip feeder or infusion pump. I can tolerate Ezetimibe well, and have not noticed any problems. My LCHF diet has reasonable fibre in it, and constipation is no longer an issue for me, and Metformin makes sure any backlog gets a regular clearance. I am not doing keto, so the higher fat intake does seem to bump things up a bit, and my trigs are highish too, so I am back on it recently to try to even things up again. I did have better ratios when i did run diet in keto, but I have relaxed a bit hence the annual service showed a small problem. Taking this med allows my doc to tick his boxes, and he's happy. I don't notice it so munch the tabs along with all the others.
