Face to face appointments

Hello, just wondered whether any type 1’s (or even type 2’s) have been having face to face appointments with their diabetes team? I’ve not even had a phone call, haven’t had a DECS appointment since pre covid and just feel quite annoyed about this.
I’m having trouble with my pump sites and think I probably need to rethink which sets I’m using as I’m having a lot of trouble citing new sets leading to high readings. But, I cannot even speak to a DSN.
I’m at the point now that I’m considering going back to injections as fed up of running high when putting in a new set as a lot of the time it’s occluding therefore no insulin is getting through.
And just to make me more miserable I think my fridge isn’t working so all my back up pens haven’t worked when I used them to try to correct. sorry for my rant I know there’s worst problems I could have. Sorry
 
I haven't had a face-to-face hospital appointment since early 2019 (ie before Covid), I have however had one blood test and foot checks and all the other checks you have to be there for at my docs (its yearly), every other hospital appointment or docs appointment where I didn't physically need to be there has been over the phone.

I think however its a postcode lottery as to whether you get these phone appointments or not
You probably do just have to keep ringing them up and bugging them for at least some kind of appointment, maybe a video call if that's what you need

Mine have been every 6 months by telephone from the hospital, next one is face to face. Odd email or texts have been replied to promptly, so count myself very fortunate. Agree with Rokaab to keep pressing them for an appointment or at least a telephone conversation.
 
Thanks for your replies. I agree with it being a bit of a postcode lottery as well. Sorry for my rant, have left a message and hopefully will get a reply at some point….
 
My GP surgery deal with me except for an annual eye check - in my area my 6mth blood tests were paused by my GPs for over a year, and the hospital missed my annual eye test last year but have now written to me to book one.
But I would have expected them to consult by video/telephone or even see me in person if I reported any issues.

I had to see my GP last year in person, following a telephone consult, as they were concerned about sudden facial paralysis, turned out to be Bell's Palsy. I also had my annual flu jab as usual.
 
My clinic is doing face-to-face appointments for bloods/other checks, followed by a phone appointment with the consultant a week later, but you can phone the DSNs anytime (well, M-F 9-4) and get a call back. When I started my new pump I had a Teams call with the DSN.
Can you get a new set of pens from the pharmacy? I would have thought your pens should be ok unless your fridge has been on the blink for a while and/or is actually warm inside, they should last 4 weeks outside the fridge.
 
All of my GP appointments have been face to face, some visits masked others not.

I have had one phone call from a specialist asking me a couple of question regarding medication.

I have not had a video conference appointment yet, although they are now bulk billed. It would save me a ten hour return train trip and overnight accomodation.
