Someone has told hubby that if you have Diabetes then you are at a greater risk of getting cancer as the sugar 'feeds' any cancerous cells / tumours.

Anyone know if this is true?

I've not heard that before. If your diabetes is under reasonable control then your blood sugar won't be elevated by much hence it would have no effect?

Like all these things it's complicated.
Yes, having diabetes does increase the risk of some cancers but why? For a start diet, genetics, weight all play a part
Does sugar feeds cancers, well............. there's a lot of myth on the internet about that.
