Has anyone been failed by their GP and not been diagnosed as having T2 Diabetes? I have for the past ten years given my GP my symptoms and been told there is nothing the matter. Had blood tests each year and told that I am borderline, but not diabetic. Suddenly I ask for a different GP and I am told I am diabetic, and a retinopathy exam tells me I have been diabetic for about five years as there is damage behind the eye that equates with this length of time. I feel badly let down by my GP, he will not accept any responsibility for this, in fact he went red with rage when we had a meeting. Does borderline equate with pre-diabetes and do complications arise when you are pre-diabetic? Saloplass
