Morning
Just after some input with fasting.
I am type 1 with a pump.

I have recently started exercising again, I tend to eat well during the already but when the weekend comes I resemble Bruce from Matilda... only I hate chocolate cake.

Needless to say my blood levels have not taken kindly to my new regime and so I think I need to get right back to basics. So I'm starting with fasting but I feel there are so many factors to think about such as normally I would make sure I had had something, like a banana, to eat prior to the gym...

I am sure I am not the first (nor the last) to have this dilemma, anyone got any tips? Or is fasting not the answer?

Help?!?!?!

Do you mean you're fasting in order to basal test?

Here's a guide on how to basal test - https://mysugr.com/basal-rate-testing/

You're not supposed to have done any unusual physical activity 12 hrs prior to, or during, the basal test.

Once you have your baseline basal rates sorted you can use temporary basal rates to accommodate for exercise.

So the first question, @**shell** that your post doesn't answer is "What are you looking at fasting to do?". What are your aims for fasting?

My reasons would help wouldn't they!
I have suffered low sugars everyday since starting excercise, even after four days of no excercise so I wanted to see if my basal rates have changed.
