Type 2 Fasting bloods

Hi all
I work on a 5 week rota 1 week of the 5 I work nightshift so I'm taking my meds at a later time on this particular week
My issue is my fasting bg seems to have gone up to 7 from around 5 or 6
Could it be because I'm sleeping later and taking meds later l'm slightly confused by this
I'm still eating correctly and losing weight
 
Could be that your body doesn't like the night shift so has pushed up your blood sugar to help get going?
Which meds are you taking?
 
I'm on metformin 2 on a morning and again on a night
As for my body not liking nights that's spot on
I've got hba c1 later this month that will tell how good I've been
