Type 2 Fasting for Blood Tests

I have to fast for blood tests for my six month check up. How long before should I stop eating?

Usually 10 to 12 hours, water only after last meal, and drink plenty of it.

I did one yesterday. I started at 9pm the night before. This was based on the spec drilled into me from my previous GP.

I have to fast for blood tests for my six month check up. How long before should I stop eating?

I usually get to the pathology shop for fasting blood test around 7:30 am, I miss the early rush then. So I do not have anything to eat after 7:00 pm the previous night.

All I have is water to drink.
