fasting glucose high

been up less than 30mins, only had my thyroxine and then remembered to test

That's probably something called 'liver dump' which happens in the mornings. It's normal to get this when you start to control your T2. The fasting BG is usually the last one to come into line. So don't worry about it, just keep on with lowering your carb intake. Have a search for 'liver dump' or 'dawn phenomenon' on this site. Most people get it in the early days.

And a liver dump is actually quite natural amd normal, and is just your body looking after you by making sure that you have enough energy to get you going for the day. Dumps may also happen at other times if you are running short on "fuel".
