I had some blood tests recently and one of them was a fasting blood test. The result was 18.5 pmol/L. I was told it was low but is there more to it? Can’t seem to find any reference to it apart from low results and T1 not T2. Is it good low or bad low? Struggling to understand. Thanks.
Hi @Flora123 this looks good and very low when converted. I know single digits are a good measurement and yours come out at 2.6 http://unitslab.com/node/124.

Yours is brilliant! T1's will be producing none or very little so I think would definitely be between 0 and 1 or below 7 pmol/l in the numbers your results were in. Did they do an insulin resistance test as well or just the fasting insulin?
