Fasting Levels

Hello!
I was diagnosed as having gestational diabetes recently which has left me with T2. I have just started taking metformin, 500g twice a day. it has brought my post meal levels down to below 8mmol/l. However my fasting levels are always higher than my post evening meal levels. I do not eat anything after my tea and I only drink water or diet coke. I usually exercise for 30 mins in theevening

How can my bg rise when i am not taking in any food?

Any ideas?

What exercise do you do?
sometimes exercise will put your BG up.
What are your numbers?
