Hi there, just dropping in to say hello. My elderly father has had T2 for decades without too many obvious problems but of course in the background damage has ocurred which has now led to foot ulcers and gangrene. I think he comes from an era when T2 wasn't taken seriously enough so I really hope that's changed, people get all the right advice and support and take notice of it. The foot with gangrene is stable but the ulcerated one is the worst with one ulcer down to the tendons and bone which is crumbling away. We are imminently expecting some kind of amputation and I worry about what's involved and his capacity to rehabilitate and recover, both physically and emotionally.
