Today is Father's day. I cam across this article and wondered what words of wisdom your Dad had imparted to you?

Sadly my dad died when he was 66. He was a good dad and I miss him every day.
His words of wisdom for me were,

.....We are all born and we all die but what you do in the interim really matters.

.....Don't envy anyone, we all have secrets and skeletons in the cupboard.

.....No such word as can't.

.....Unconditional love is really what matters in a family.

Anything you would like to share about your Dad?

my dad died at 67 (about 4 years day before yesterday) when he was sober (complete ass when drunk which was alot lol) he was awesome :) i loved him and he never said a bad word about anyone behind their back and wouldnt let anyone else either, to their face he would say anything, he never minced hes words and told it exactly as he saw it, i try very hard to do the same and not say bad things about people that i wouldnt say to their face, this isnt always great when ive been gossiping about someone and we meet them i have no choice but to tell them what ive said, often to the shock of the person i was talking about them to lol he also had an amazing trait of not caring what anyone thought of him, it meant he enjoyed himself without inabitions, i miss him and fathers day is always a day of mixed emotions now

i could go on all day about him, he had the biggest funeral ive ever seen, it was a huge church nd there were crowds that couldnt even get into the church which he would have loved :)
