Hi I have been diabetic for 3 years. After the first year I began to feel fine and getting back to normal once my tablets were sorted out. For the last 3 weeks I have felt terrible it started off with a temperature, slightly sore throat and headaches whilst I had this my blood sugar hit 17.5 shook off symptoms after 3 days but left feeling so fatigued a 15 min walk, housework or trying to concentrate on an assignment for my MA leaves me
needing a nap. after a day at work I am just totally flaked out and ready for bed by 8pm. Any suggestions after the initial bug my bloods went back to usual although it took a couple of days. Not sure if this is diabetic related or not. Also my hair is mess, skin dry and itchy and my normally healthy nails just snapping off.

I would suggest you go and see your gp and get checked out Billie, it might just be the after effects of your illness but may well be something completely different.

In times of illness and stress it's quite normal for bg readings to be higher than normal, good luck with the assignment and hope you feel better soon
