Faulty metre

Hi all, I have an aviva expert metre that has just started constantly having technical error 57 on the metres display, ive taken the bstterys out for 20 seconds as it ssys to do but keep getting the same display. I now have no way of checking my bs as my back up metre strips srr out of date, bot sure what the best course of action is. All help muchly appreciated.

Phone up Accu chek tomorrow morning first thing and tell them that the meter is faulty and that you need it to be replaced.

Im going to do that lol even though ive only had this metre for maybe 4 days if that. Just hope I can get in at drs for an emergency appointment to sort out test strips for my back up metre with no hassle otherwise im screwed lol

If you cannot get an emergency appt at GP, best thing would be to find a large pharmacy that has blood glucose meters on special offer as they usually contain about 10 teststrips.

Just got off the phone with accu chek, theyve told me to goto the local chemist and get them to give me either an aviva or aviva nano machine as they take the same test strips, and they will replace the metre. Hope I dont have issues with them lol
