I shopped in Lidl as usual this morning and found multi packs of "Twiglets" One small 25g pack has about 3.6 carbs. the proportion is fairly high, but the total amount is do-able after an hour in the swimming pool and half an hour in the gym.
Does anyone know what became of Worcester sauce flavour twiglets? I used to love those.
Can't help you regarding the Worcester sauce flavour twiglets, never heard of them! Anyway, you've got me thinking of savoury snacks that I enjoyed as a child, but are no longer around. First :
Tudor Crisps-pickled onion flavour
.............. -chese & onion flavour
KP salt & vinegar dry roasted peanuts
Free scoope of batter scrapings from the local chippy, owner a very nice man who didn't mind kids asking for the scraps Amazingly on holiday in Yorkshire last year my kids asked for batter scrapings on their chips and were charged 30p extra!
Sure this could evoke memories of snacks of days gone by, and please will someone find hanadr worcester flavour twiglets!
Nigel, the batter scraps, if people have never tasted these they haven't lived :!: I am now realising that I miss fried food in a most worrying way

A response from United Biscuits, makers of Twiglets.
Twiglets are a much loved wholewheat snack and they've been a consumer favourite for over 70 years.
In 2005 a limited edition Worcester Sauce variety was produced as a way of providing consumers with an alternative taste to the usual Twiglets. This was only a limited edition and there are no plans to reintroduce it in the near future.
However, we do constantly review the product range that we have to try and show we meet the demands of our customers and we are looking at other product lines at the moment.
god ...how i just fancy a few batter bits!!!is there a low carb way with the fryer?..carbalose or something else does this work to make tasty batterbits?
