Fb adds and vids about a diabetes cure

On my fb timeline I keep getting these American vids and testimonies about a diabetes cure. Tried to watch one which was more about how the guy with type 2 was a marathon running then went into a diabetic coma , didn't ever get to the cure , but he read lots of research and diabetes was blamed on too many fatty acids in the blood stream effecting the glucose.
Personally the tests I've had said that I've a lazy inherited pancreas :/

I was bored and at a loose end the other day, so I watched most of the "Marathon Runner" video, by which time I was even more bored

There was quite a lot of (I'm guessing) cod science about free fatty acids being the cause of T2. The crux of the matter seemed to be that these could be purged from your system by getting niacin to target and remove them. In order to do this, the niacin had to be purged of lots of other things, to allow it to get somewhere in particular (probably your pancreas or liver, but I was getting seriously bored by then and my attention may have wandered just a little bit). This required a particular diet, with various supplements. In order to find out which ones it was necessary (what a surprise!) to shell out forty US Dollars for a book in which, apparently, all would be revealed. Call me a cynic, but I'm guessing that the book also told you how to buy lots of expensive dietary supplements from the same place, in order to make things work.

I am neither a scientist nor an endocrinologist, but I was left wondering if one of the supplements was an oily substance, extracted from some species of snake?
