Thank you to for the replies to my thread. This is very useful information. I have ordered a glucose monitor so I can keep an eye on my situation. I started a high protein diet and low carbs about 3 month ago when I was advised by the nurse, and now look forward to the Ha1c results which are due soon. I only saw the Doctor two weeks ago so she has not seen the results but still diagnosed anyway. I am also considering doing fasting twice a week. I know that there are mountains of help, advice and knowledge about medications. I being one of those who suffer from side effects often go online to check for medication compatability and interactions between meds.
