My head is such a mess. I wish i could just talk to someone and get some answers :-( . C peptide test, do you need to fast for this? Long story short i had blood taken a few weeks ago but my c peptide is normal range, although i had eaten an hour prior to test, but just read that you should fast for the test. Was my nurse wrong to test an hour after eating? Im going mad not knowing whats going on, my DSN really is lacking with getting back to me.

You need to have been fasting for 8-12 hours before the blood test. Your test is not valid and you should have been advised to fast beforehand.

I think Spiker is right, although I have read on the web that views vary on which gives the most useful result i.e fasting or non-fasting. Yes, I'm sure it would be worth doing it again
