I did the DAFNE course recently, and after I did it, I felt so good about my diabetes, like I could handle it so well. However since then I started college, so my schedule is all over the place, and diabetes is sort of coming second ( I know its not great :S )

The thing is though, I'm doing all my injections as I should, but mainly all my BS levels are over 10, which isn't great and I feel so bad about it. I don't know how to get back on track again, and I don't know why it's still high when i'm injecting as I normally would?

Oh yeah, and the other night I was high, so I adjusted my Novo Rapid thinking nothing would happen, and I went down to 2.8, so it's not that the insulin is out of date.. :?: :/

Im on Levemir twice a day and Novo Rapid with my meals

Hi Jelaca,
you arn't doing anything wrong.
What's happened is your body is telling you it needs a bit more insulin due to your new routine (college) Can you give your DSN a ring to bat ideas with him/her?
It's probably something so simple as a couple of units on your basal will fix all. :)

I was struggling after the course running to high but I've just found upping the levemir during the day has brought everything pretty much into place. They did say the key was the getting the levemir right. Hope this helps

I suspect you may need to adjust your basal dose a bit. I'd defintiely give your DSN a ring if you can as s/he'll be able to advise you.

It can be really hard to get things right when you first go to uni/college - I know my diabetes was a complete mess when I first went to uni. Try not to worry too much. With a little adjustment you should be able to get things more stable soon! Good luck!!
