Okay, new person here so sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section.

So, I'm having an issue at the moment that my blood sugars will be a normal reading such as 7.5 or whatever but I still feel like I'm having hyperglycemia? It's not 100% of the time but it does happen quite often and I was wondering if anyone knew what the problem is as it's only recently that I have started to experience this? I have spoken to my diabetes nurse and dietitian about it and they said they don't know what it could be.
My control is generally pretty good with my last hba1c being 6.9%, I have a decent sleeping pattern and I keep myself hydrated. This is getting more irritating so if anyone knows what it is please could you leave a comment and let me know?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Hi Chris
welcome to the forum :)
i have had feelings like this ( over a 43 year D career ) and it is frustrating feeling hyper yet getting in range readings.
I always have put it down to experience and try to get on with things the best I can when it happens.
( sometimes a warning to an oncoming infection )

I had that couple weeks ago, but i assume it was related to stress n blood pressure. Have you check if your blood pressure reading is within the nornal range? Or are you under stress recently?

Had my blood pressure checked last week and it was normal, can't remember exactly what it was and I haven't been under a lot of stress at all :/

Thanks for the input and the welcome :D

Can you describe these symptoms in more detail, welcome to the forum btw :)

Thanks for the welcome :) It's like, when I get hyper I feel really drained and tired and this is what is happening to me but when I have normal ranges sometimes (minus the thirst and constant need for a wee)

Hey @OHD_Foxy

it would be interesting to know what you feel like if your BG is 3.7-3.9-- when i am at that sort of level I feel absolutely perfect and as though the world couldn't stop me......................( but we know it is the start of hypo territory  )

Yes! I absolutely feel like this.

I will feel super high and test and not be high at all. My last A1C was 5.6. My mouth will be as dry as a desert. I can easily drink 3 bottles of water, so I'll have to pee often too. I will be exhausted and just generally not feel great.

I find it happens to me more at night, before sleep.

Every doctor has shrugged it off and pointed out that the numbers are fine, so they're not worried.

I think some people's bodies are just more sensitive to things than others. I can gain 10 pounds and my cholesterol will sky rocket. If I take a day off exercising, my BG is much much harder to manage, and it's just one day! In one sense it's a good thing - it's my body telling me to get my butt back in order. On the other hand, it's very frustrating.

It may be unrelated to your diabetes, why don't you go along to your Dr's and have these symptoms investigated, they'll likely request blood tests to try and find the underlying cause. Best wishes.

When my bloods get to about 4 and below I feel low, like I have no issue detecting when I'm low it's just being I the normal ranges and feeling high that's bothering me

That's a good idea, I'll get myself an appointment soon, thanks :D
