Thought I'd share.

Diagnosed T2 Dec with readings of 8.1 and 8.2.

Been on LCHF since day one and have shifted 20lbs so down to 14st 5lb so another stone to go but good start.

My blood pressure was 130 over 80 so borderline high too.

Last week I had full lipid test and liver kidney thyroid all good but a concern that my trigs were 3.7 and my ldl 5.1. My hdl was 1.1 also so that fine. Straight away nurse mentioned statins but I declined.

6 weeks in decided to invest in a blood pressure monitor and glucose tester.

My average blood pressure over 5 days 113 / 72 with a bpm of 65. Happy with that.

Glucose readings yesterday 5.7 today 5.6 so again over the moon with that. 3 month checkup in March so hopeful I can keep it up.

The only concern is my trigs but am led to believe these should come down also? I did drink a lot of coffee but read that can cause high trigs in some people so switched to tea.

Overall seem to be heading in the right direction just gotta sort those trig numbers. Not overly fussed bout the high ldl number tbh.

Yoir LDL is probably reflecting your weight loss, where you have lipids coming out of storage from the fat cells.
