Two weeks ago I was told I was t2 with bg of 14.7

Today after two weeks of cutting carbs to between 50g - 100g per day my readings are
Breakfast 6.6 2hrs later 6.8
Lunch 5.9 2hrs later 7.7
Dinner 5.2 2hrs later 6.2

I feel I am making progress

You sure are. When I started it was remarkable how fast I saw results.
It's pretty rewarding isn't?

Your definitely making progress your numbers are remarkably similar to mine. If you want to get into the fully Non Diabetic range u need to go very low carb. Though I am happy with metformin compensating me an allowing me to eat 80 - 100 carbs per day. I could do less but it would be rather difficult. I've found a balance I could probably live with.

I am hoping my levels will reduce without cutting carbs any further.
If I can keep losing weight in theory the numbers should come down.

Well done. Those are great numbers.

Trying to get my numbers down to those. Lots of exercise today.

It always feels great to see a newly diagnosed T2D respond so well to carbs reduction. But do remember that this is a marathon...staying on course is key.

I understand what you are saying, thats one reason I have not reduced my carbs to below 20g per day
.

I want to see a 4 come into my tests at some point in the near future.

My thoughts are is that no one else can help you reduce your diabetes if you don't help yourself !!!!

Very good

I'm in a similar situation,hb1ac was 101 now 3 months on 45.
Have been low carbing nicely and loss 3 stone but think I'm now not eating enough as I've been getting migraines and feeling very hungry and thisty ,feel so much better after water or a few carbs.

Wow 3 stone was that in 3 months then ?

what an amazing progress you have made... wow

My numbers sank lower on the same or slightly more carbs - then went rather erratic, but the higher numbers then sank - I don't think we can expect a simple response, there's a lot going on at the same time, but the longer I stay on low carb the more normal things seem to be.

Well done, that's great
