Feeling Rough

Hi All

I've been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes for about 3 years now and just started on Insulin about 6 months ago. To cut a long story short, I'm just starting to get things under control with 40 units of Levemir in the evening and 30 units of Novorapid 3 times a day.

My blood sugar has gone from high teens/early twenties a week ago down to around 4.8 to 10 this week. This evening, for example, it's 6.7. I know this is starting to look good but I just feel so rough when it comes down this far. I'm wondering if it's going to take my body some time to get used to having 'normal' levels of blood sugar.

Ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Regards

Andy

Hi Andy, I am no expert, just a fellow Type 2 but it took my old carcass about a month to get used to the lower BS. Right now I know it feels lousy, but once your body adjusts you will feel sooooooo good

Jake,
Val's right, Sometimes it takes a while for your system to adapt to "Correct BG2, especially if it's been consistently too high for a bit.
Once you get there, you'll be amazed at how well and full of energy you feel
All you need is some persistence.
