Hi Mike, Sorry if you have mentioned it and I missed it but have you had your a thyroid function checked? I have an under active Thyroid and feel like you very very often, have just had my Levothyroxine increased. I was also diagnosed as very low on Vit D so have started supplements for that too. I can sympathise, I find it can come on very suddenly and it a feeling of exhaustion, perhaps your GP can give your bloods an MOT? As for living alone, I don't but do suffer from Depression and Anxiety, some days don't want to do anything, however, even if I get out for a bit of fresh air and a little walk, even if just up road and back I find it does wake me up a lot and also peps me up generally, of course, I don't know whether you are able. It's easier said than done when you feel low and tired though. As for the sleeping, sounds daft but is your bedroom too hot or too cold? I have slept better since I had a cooler room and got blackout linings for the curtains, I also cut out evening drinks after 9pm so I hopefully don't have to get up at all, or only once during the night for the loo. I hope you manage to find some help. If you are very low, talking therapies can help too, I referred myself rather than go through GP and I am a very private person, but was able to have telephone sessions based on CBT for my low mood and it really helped. Take care, people on here are very supportive and it's often easier to say how you feel than to family or friends. Chris.
