Hi everyone, I've been eating and drinking like I used to before my betes diagnosis for months now. Went to the nurse last week and was AMAZED to discover that my HbA1c is still below 7 and my cholesterol is still below 5. I'm still diet only, still taking the benfotiamine, but stopped taking the acai berries. My old (large) appetite has returned and I've put weight back on. Why am I telling you all this??? Because, as soon as the festive season is over I'm back onto a strict drink and diet regime to ensure my next check up with the nurse produces the same results. I know if I don't she will have me on Metformin and I want to avoid that if I can. Merry Xmas everybody and here's hoping that we all have a healthy 2011. :P
