I am currently on dash omnipod waiting for omnipod 5 to be released. I am currently on lyumjev insulin but I keep getting a lot of high blood sugars, it seems to me it is not rapid acting and wanted to change to fiasp, would be grateful of any opinions and experiences with this type of insulin. Thank you

Fiasp and luymjev work pretty much the same for me, so I doubt you’ll see much difference between the . Except fiasp doesn’t sting as much

Some people find one works better than the other, and the only way you'll know is to try Fiasp. Fiasp generally works well for me, once I got to know how long to prebolus by depending on blood sugar pre meal. It does take a long time to bring down high bg's though.

Like all insulins, the way it works is personal.
I have not compared Fiasp and Lyumev but they are based on NovoRapid and Humulin respectively which I have tried.
Some people find Humulin faster than NovoRapid, For me it was the other way around.
So the question should not be "is Fiasp or Lyumev faster?" but it shoudl be "Is Fiasp or Lyumev faster for me?"

I can't get my Humalog, so I've had to put Novorapid in pump, but I find it vastly inferior to Humalog, so I'm currently using Lyumjev, injected manually for boluses. I tried Lyumjev in pump, but it was extremely painful all the time, and rather ineffective. Injected just for larger boluses, and keeping sites well rotated, it works pretty well, so far. I don't get anything more than very temporary reaction at sites this way. But I've noticed that Lyumjev only really works if the starting BG is under 5.5. Otherwise, BG goes up and Lyumjev just doesn't get it down (or not for ages). So, effective but very tricky to use. Also, it doesn't work nearly as well with Novorapid as basal as it does with Humalog as basal (I've tried it this way while I have a bit of Humalog left).
