Wow, thanks @Finnlee , so much to think about! I was already thinking about using both, and might do some experimenting with this. I already use two basal insulins (Tresiba and Levemir) already, no reason to not use two bolus insulins as well. :hilarious: And I have enough of both at the moment, the trial turned out to be 5 disposable pens on top of my quarterly issue of Fiasp penfills. The sting might even prove useful. With my so far one dose of Lyumjev the sting stayed for some 10 minutes, which clearly told me I hadn't forgotten to inject. Time will tell if that sting is enough to make me not want to inject though. Very creative, and it might even work with my quirky brain. Inject Lyumjev and immediately after dial up my empty spare novopen to have it show the dose. I never would have thought of this, but if it looks like I like the Lyumjev I'll give it a try! Lilly sadly discontinued the pens with a memory (not the HumaPen Savvio but the HumaPen Memoir). An alternative would be a Timesulin cap if I can get one. For now, disposable pens. It's only a trial so it would be a waste to have my insurance pay for a pen I won't use. No need for half unit pens in my case. My findings so far seem to be interesting, but more experimenting is called for before I'm sure about how the Lyumjev acts for me. It did seem to act quicker than my Fiasp and gave me a hypo 4 hours post injection. But so far, no way to tell if it's just one of those days I needed less insulin for the same beer, or if it's that the Lyumjev behaves differently.
