Fiber capsules/tablets

Hi,I'm a type 2 and have been for 20+ years....I would like to know.....is it worth taking fiber capsules, tablets etc...
I'm taking Metformin 750 s/r and gliclazide 80mg and also vitamin B12

What is the reason you think about taking them?
Diabetes control or something else?
