I have fibromyalgia diagnosed originally as ME then fibromyalgia in 2002. The first symptoms for me was a very painful shoulder and then being so dizzy that I couldn't walk unaided. I was tested for MS, brain tumours and various other illnesses. I was so fatigued that I couldn't hold a phone or stir something in a pan. I would also get what I called "electric cattle prod " pain which would make me cry out. These were mainly in my torso. Only a rheumatologist can diagnose fibromyalgia. Is there any way you could afford to see one privately? I had to do this to see an orthopaedic surgeon as my gp said I was too young (58!) To need knee replacement. Once I had seen him he put me straight on his NHS list so it was money well spent. Good luck
