Finally find out my type!

So, I've had diabetes for 25 years and managed it really well but nobody every checked as to what type. I first got gestational diabetes and then full blown when my son was 6 months and was put on insulin straight away. When I moved from Slough to Essex in 2009 my diabetic consultant told me I was 'probably' Type 1. Recently my nurse at my GP surgery said she wanted to check for sure and today I got the results and I'm Type 2! I doesn't make any difference to me but it is good to know, finally!

25 years is a long time to wait for a status.
