Hello

I have been watching on the forum for a little while , seeing whats happening and gaining some very usefull info....

I was diagnosed type 2 in January , with hba1c of 95 , and extremely high cholesterol

DN took BG and 19.7

Since then been trying HFLC and BGs dropped to around fasting of 12 ish

Thinking of trying the newcastle diet

Cheers

Hi Darren (and welcome)

I, too, was diagnosed in January but not with such a high reading. I initially adopted the HFLC but took the HF a bit too far and my gallbladder complained quite a bit so I merely changed all my 'Low Fat' items (yogurts etc) to the full fat ones and I've managed to get my levels down. Through frequent testing I've found that carbs really spike me so I've given up bread, porridge, potatoes etc, and that seems to be working for me.

I'm sure some more experienced people will be along shortly to offer you advice.
